The Toronto Zoo
The Toronto Zoo is a fun-filled destination for the whole family. If you like animals or a specific type of wild animals, the Toronto Zoo has lots of things to do when you are bored! You can even watch bat feeding time at the Toronto Zoo! The zoo is located on 2,000 Meadowvale Road in Toronto, Ontario and can be reached by phone by calling (416) 392-5929. The Zoo is open 364 days a year, excluding Christmas Day and is open from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, Sunday through Saturday.
The Toronto Zoo is easily accessible by bus and by GO Train. The TTC operates two bus routes to the zoo from four rapid transit stations and the bus stops at the main entrance. Both TTC bus routes that serve the Zoo, as well as Don Mills Station, Kennedy Station, and Rouge Hill GO Station. Buses and Go Trains are wheelchair accessible. Members of the Toronto Zoo get in free. Admission rates are $28 for general admittance for those between 13 and 64. Seniors, 65 and older, get in for $23. Kids between the ages of three and twelve get in for $18. Kids 2 and under get in free. Memberships start at $95 for individuals. Bird Kingdom
Bird Kingdom offers an vintage museum that takes you back in time. From this point, you will experience unique, gorgeous, and amazing tropical birds and reptiles. Birds freely fly around you at this attraction. A daily schedule is posted in the Front Lobby of Bird Kingdom listing highlighting events taking place that day at Bird Kingdom! Bat feedings take place on the third floor in the Nocturnal Zone at 12 pm and 3 pm, Sunday through Saturday. You can feed Lorikeets in the Main Aviary for $2 to pay for their nectar. Australian Rainbow Lorikeets will land on you can drink from your nectar cup. How cool is that? Further, you can hold a variety of other exotic creatures in the Encounter Room on the second floor. Admission for adults at Bird Kingdom is $16.95, for seniors (55 and over), it's $14.95, and for kids (4-15), it's $11.95. Children under three get in free! Annual memberships to Bird Kingdom are available for adults, senior, and kids. Kids annual memberships are $18. Senior memberships are $25, and adult memberships are $28. Members who present their voucher upon admission get unlimited admission for one year, a 20% discount on gift shop purchases, and half off regular priced admission to Buffalo Zoo. Hours are in July to August from 9 am to 6:30 pm and in September to June from 9:30 am to 5 pm.
